
I hate evening workouts but I had to see my doctor bright and early this morning and just couldn't squeeze in my P90X. My phone's started ringing again, so I had a full day of appointments and worked until almost 7:00pm. By the time I got home and got fed, it was pushing 9:00pm. Being a P90X fanatic, I couldn't skip my workout, especially when it's time for legs.
The workout was very hard as usual but I am still seeing continued improvement. Not only is my form getting better but I am doing more reps. In the photo, I'm doing my favorite leg exercise, calf raises. These may seem simple but when you do three sets of 35 reps alternating feet outward, parallel and inward your calves start singing Ave Maria. As I've stated in past posts, I work extra hard on my genetically cursed calves because they are in my assessment way too skinny. In fact, I am going to append calf raises to my Tuesday and Thursday workouts also so that I am doing them at least three times weekly. I will do whatever it takes excluding steroids or calf implants.
