Day 27: I'm a Yoga Convert

The Reverse Warrior pose I'm doing in the photo looks easy, but trust me, today was a 90 minute battle with my willpower. I was really suffering and felt like quitting so badly. I spent the weekend at Karen's and got started early afternoon instead of my typical 7:30am. This made for a very hot workout inside her closed garage. I drank three bottles of water during the workout and still lost five pounds of water weight (Yes, I do weigh myself before and after workouts). When Karen came out to check me and saw the large pool of sweat I was standing in, she insisted on turning on the fans. That was probably a very good idea. I was able to get my second wind and finish the workout.

An hour after the yoga work, like clock-work, I got hit with what I call Post-Yoga-Euphoria. I felt amazing both mentally and physically. Although, the Yoga X is the most difficult workout I do and the one I am worst at, I'm finally becoming a convert. This stuff has to be doing good things to me. Yoga addresses strength, flexibility, balance, breathing, focus...heck, everything. I don't know much about yoga but am going to start doing some research and learning more. Maybe one of these days, I'll even be good at it.
