I've survived three weeks of P90X and am ready to start my first recovery week. Recovery week is somewhat of a misnomer because from what I hear, recovery weeks are even harder. This week includes the following workouts:
- 2 Yoga X's (so far my most difficult workout)
- 2 Core Synergistics (I haven't tried this one yet but I hear it's tough as hell)
- 2 Stretching X's (anything involving flexibility kills me)
- 1 Kenpo X (the only easy workout of the week)
I started my morning with the dreaded Yoga X workout. I am making small improvements but this 90 minute workout is still very difficult for me. However, Yoga X is probably the most beneficial of all the workouts for me. I did finally decide to give the ohms and brief meditation at the end of the workout a try. Tony Horton claims it massages your central nervous system. The ohms just freaked out my cats and made me cough.
