I don't know if it was the warm weather or the lack of sleep but today's plyometrics workout was an ass kicker. I was huffing and puffing and gasping for air. It took everything I had to just breathe.Sometimes when I exercise the wind is at my back and sometimes it's against me. You can probably tell by the photo which way the wind was blowing today. However, I hung in there and pressed on and finished the workout. This is what the X in P90X is all about. X means extreme. If P90X were easy, everybody would be doing it.
As I've stated before, plyometrics is in my opinion the most difficult of the P90X workouts. Plyometrics is also one of the most beneficial workouts. This is the workout that's going to condition me to run and jump. This is the workout that's going to help me backhand a tennis ball or rebound a basketball. This is the workout that's going to make me young again.
When I'm finished with this round of P90X and I develop my own workout regimen, I will include at least one plyometrics workout into my weekly schedule. This type of exercise is vital if you have an active lifestyle. Plyo will kick your butt and make you gasp for air, but the best things in life don't come cheap.
