Six months ago, when I came home after my triple bypass, I remember laying in bed one night. I had just hobbled up the stairs so I was having the scary breathing and wondering if I'd wake up the next morning. I was weak as a baby, a very sick baby. I was depressed, on pain killers, afraid to cough or sneeze, and wondering if I was going to be a gimp for the rest of my life.
Man oh man, how quickly things change. I honestly have never felt better in my entire life. After 45 days I do see some physical changes but nothing like what I feel changing on the inside. I feel young again. I feel athletic again. I have energy again. I have stamina again. In fact, my girlfriend, Karen, often begs me to quit telling her how good I feel or as she says, "enough already!" Then she smiles and kisses me.
This P90X is doing it all for me. I'm getting proper nutrition. I'm working all the muscle groups. I'm increasing my flexibility. I'm building those fast twitch muscle and getting my spring and ability to jump back. I'm improving my cardiovascular health so I can keep going and going and going. I am turning back the clock and aging in reverse just like Benjamin Buttons. All I have had to do is show up and keep pushing play on my DVD.
I'll spare you anymore of my manic musings. I'm happy and grateful and could prattle all night long. However, it's getting late and I need to get up early. I gotta knock out these next 45 days of P90X.
Thanks for listening.
